Denise M. Figueroa Martínez, Esq., MBA, JD.
Natural from the city of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. She pursued studies leading to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, where she graduated Cum Laude in 1997.

She continued her legal studies at the Law School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2002. She passed the General and Notarial Revalidation Exams for Aspirants to the Practice of Law, and was admitted to the practice of Law and Public Notary in Puerto Rico in 2006.
​
She has more than 17 years of practical experience in the legal, governmental, and business sectors, providing legal advice, representation, and notary services to private and public sectors, nonprofit organizations, as well as individuals.
​
She practices in the areas of a notary, family, corporate, contractual, and administrative law. Mrs. Figueroa, Esq has litigated inheritance disputes, succession, damages and liabilities, debt collection, evictions, and protective orders, among others.
​
She has appeared in state courts and administrative agencies such as the Department of Labor and Human Resources (DTRH), the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO), the Insurance Commissioner's Office (ICO), and the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions (OCIF).
​
Five years ago, she became a Wedding Officiant, having performed more than 130 weddings throughout Puerto Rico, including destination and same-sex weddings.
